The following is a list of needed supplies at the Waterford/East Lyme animal shelter. Supplies can be brought to the Animal Shelter located behind the Waterford Police Department at 41 Avery Lane. they can be left by the door, or left at the lobby of the PD if i am not there.
Please dont think you have to buy everything, please temper your generosity with reason, take care of your family and your pets first, and then if you can spare anything, make a small donation or donate one or two things. If everyone contributes a small amount, we will be overflowing with donations! Please leave a note with your name so i can publicly thank you for your donations.
Leashes, bowls, dog toys, cat toys, clumping cat litter, large collars, large choke collars, gentle lead collars, harnesses, dog treats, cat treats, large dog kennels or crates, canned dog food, canned cat food, tennis balls, pill pockets, q-tips, cotton squares, ear cleaning medicine, pet shampoo, flea/tick medicine, heartworm pills, copy paper, first class postage stamps, thank you cards, legal size envelopes, 9X12 catalog envelopes, dry erase markers, large heavy duty trash bags, kitchen size trash bags, bleach, laundry detergent, dish detergent, simple green
Also needed are your cash donations, which are fully tax deductible, make your check payable to the Town of Waterford, and in the memo line put “animal shelter donation”. you CAN make a difference, donations have made it possible for us to get the new sign on RTE 1 and to complete the dog run fence so the animals can get some much needed excersize. I have other projects planned, which will be coming soon.
Thank you all,
Officer Robert Yuchniuk #32
