Policeman’s Ball

We have received a FAX from The Groton Town Police Department regarding a Policeman’s Ball.

They have invited the following police departments, Stonington, Groton City, Groton Long Point, Ledyard, Norwich, New London, NCIS and New London County States Attorney’s Office.

Dress is listed as formal, I checked, and was advised that tux was NOT expected, but suit and tie requested.

ALL are invited, police, retired police, CSO, support staff, and dispatchers.

This gala event will be held on Valentines Day, 02/14/2008 at the Mystic Marriot from 6:00 PM to Midnight, and costs $55.00 (checks made out to Groton Town PBA) per person which includes:

Buffet style dinner, and a DJ, in the Ballroom of the Mystic Marriot, which is located just off I-95 near the Pequot Health Center.

Rooms for the night at this hotel are discounted to $129, just mention the Policeman’s Ball to get this rate.

There will be a silent auction to benefit the Boys/Girls Club of SE CT. A 50/50 raffle also is possible.

Cash bar, with discounted drinks.

The meal will be the following buffet: Soup, salad, NY strip Steak, or Grilled Salmon, Pasta with veggies, Roasted potatoes, steamed veggies, dessert, coffee and teas.
