WPD Supporting the Special Olympics

by Waterford Police PBA on March 31st, 2009

Waterford Police Department – WPD Supporting the Special Olympics.

The Waterford Police Department is proud to be supporting the Special Olympics again this year.  In addition to officers running with the Olympians during the Law Enforcement Torch Run on June 2, 2009, we are also selling Olympic Torches at the police department.  For only $1, you can buy a Special Olympic Torch, write your name on it and have it displayed in the lobby of the police department.  The Waterford Police Department has set a goal of raising $1,000 this year for the Special Olympics.  If you wish to purchase a torch, please come to the police department lobby at any time.  If you wish to make a larger donation, please contact Officer David Anderson at (860)-442-9451.

We wish to thank everyone who is willing to assist us in reaching this goal.  This is for a great cause and we understand that in these tough economic times donations may be down for the organization.
