by Waterford Police PBA on March 31st, 2009

Waterford Police Department – WPD vs. Harlem Rockets game results.

Approximately 1,000 residents came to the Waterford High School Friday night to watch the Harlem Rockets play the Waterford First Responders, (Police & Fire).

The game, which ended with a score of Harlem 83-Waterford 76, was fun and entertaining for everyone.  The Rockets put on a family friendly show, dazzling the crowd with long distance shots and high flying slam dunks.  The game also had crowd participation, as Rockets players drew the crowd to the game floor several times for dancing, games and pictures.

Although the score ended close, the Rockets gave the First Responders 20 extra points at the end of the third quarter.  With a center reaching 7’5″ tall, several high flying forwards and a good distance shooter, the game was easily managed by the Harlem Rockets.

The Waterford Police Department would like to thank everyone involved in organizing this great event.  We would also like to thank the residents for showing thier support to thier local fire and police.  Finally, we would like to thank the Harlem Rockets.  They put on a great show and many fans are already asking if we can have the game again next year.
