Crash Victims Identified

Incident to the ongoing investigation of a two car motor vehicle accident having occurred on this date, at the intersection of Old Norwich Road and Route 32, in the Quaker Hill section of Waterford, the following supplemental information is available:

The occupants of the Scion sedan are identified as
Driver: Joshua A. Lecce W/M DOB 02/11/1986 521 Colchester RD Salem, CT
Passenger: Amadeus Harris W/M DOB 07/19/1986 37 Richards Grove RD. Quaker Hill, CT
Passenger: Danielle M. Nicholson W/F DOB 06/17/1987 t6 Soldier DR. Waterford, CT.
Passenger: Brian Hahnel W/M DOB 02/20/1987 24 Broadview AV. Uncasville, CT.
The driver, Joshua Lecce, and a rear seat passenger, Danielle Nicholson, died as a result of injuries sustained during the crash. Passengers Harris and Hahnel received treatment at area hospitals.

The occupant of the Dodge pickup truck is identified as
Driver: Joseph Donohue W/M DOB 0 1/19/1982 14 Orchard ST. Norwich, CT.
Passenger: NONE
Donohue was arrested for “Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs” pursuant to C.G.S. l4-227a. Donohue was also transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for treatment. Donohue remains in police custody on a $500,000.00 cash1 surety bond, pending his arraignment in New London Superior Court.
