Teens injured in Miner Lane accident

On Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at approximately 6:36 pm, Waterford Police received several 911 calls reporting an accident on Miner Lane.

Waterford Police, Fire and ambulance services responded, as well as Lawrence & Memorial Paramedics. Waterford Fire Police also assisted with the road closure.

A single car was found to have crashed off the right shoulder of the roadway, impacting a cluster of trees and a rock wall. There were five occupants of the vehicle; including four that were trapped inside the vehicle and one who had been ejected.

The occupants were identified as (1) 18 year old, (1) 17 year old, (2) 16 year olds and (1) 15 year old; all from Waterford. They were all transported to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for thier injuries.

The accident remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident or have information about the accident are asked to call the Waterford Police Department at 860-442-9451.
