Waterford Police Tip-a-Cop raises $1172

In addition to the $1120 previously raised by selling LETR/SOCT Support Torches, and Dime Bank’s blue jeans for a day fund drive; last nights WPD Tip A Cop event at Filomena’s (www.filomenascafe.com)raised $1172; a grand total of $2292 so far!

Paper LETR Support Torches will still be sold in the WPD lobby for a while longer and of course is you know anyone riding in the Dream Ride on August 23^rd at the Farmington Club, Farmington, CT, ask them to pre-register at hometownwheels.com and list Waterford Police Department as “LETR Department” and our 2009 Total will continue to rise.

Finally, thanks to all who ran the LETR, the Police Union’s donation, Dime Bank’s generous donation, and everyone else who worked and supported WPD, in the 2009 Connecticut Special Olympics fund drive.  This year has truly a Public Servant and Citizen cooperative effort. You can trust that you helped put a smile on the faces of a couple of Special Olympians again, as they crossed the finish line.
