Reminder COPS union at Jordan Firehouse, Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 1630 hours

I have invited a representative from UPSEU/COPS Union to speak with anyone interested.  They will answer any questions that you have.

They represent the Stonington and Norwich Police Union in our area, and along with Fairfield, Branford, North Branford and Clinton.

In order to consider switching to UPSEU/COPS, the current state law is that 30% of our membership would have to request that a vote be held.  The state of Connecticut would then send a representative to WPD to hold a vote of all the union members, which requires 50% or more of the membership voting in the affirmative to pass.
