The Day – Waterford teachers reject furlough days

by Waterford Police PBA on February 13th, 2010

Waterford – As many as six teachers could be laid off before the start of the next school year after the members of the teachers union voted Friday against taking two furlough days.

The teachers, who make up the majority of school employees, voted by a slim margin against the furlough days that were aimed at saving the school budget nearly $210,000, administration and union officials said.
