by Waterford Police PBA on February 28th, 2010

Waterford – In a letter which will be delivered to the Waterford First Selectmen Daniel Steward on Monday, the Waterford Police Union offers a list of cost savings along with an offer to loan the Town of Waterford $20,000 to assist in the town’s budget shortfall.

The First Selectman has told the Waterford Police Union President that he will lay off two police officers for 6 months if the Waterford Police Union does not agree to two furlough days.

The letter from Waterford Police Union President John Bunce, details a list of cost savings that would help prevent the town from having each police officer take two unpaid days off.
