Town of Waterford spends $169,000 for new playground but wants Furlough Days from employees

by Waterford Police PBA on May 29th, 2010

In a shocking turn of events, the Town of Waterford Board of Finance approves money for a new playground, but still wants Furlough Days from its employees.  Is the town really in such “dire straights” with its finances as it portrays? The board of finance approved a $35,000 contribution toward the construction of a new playground in the Civic Triangle set to open in October.   The town is expected to approve an additional $35,000 in the new fiscal year toward the $169,500 playground.
