Uniformed Warriors Tribute to SSGT Edwin Rivera

by Waterford Police PBA on June 4th, 2010

Too all Fire Fighters, Police, Military, Veterans Organizations, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Explorers etc., that have inquired about a tribute point to line up to honor SSGT Rivera, the following suggestion is provided.  Show up in uniform (Class A, B or Working Uniform all are appropriate) with covers (hats) and line RTE 1 (which will be closed down) near Woodlawn Ave or the closest point to the entrance being used for the transport of SSGT Rivera, at Jordon Cemetery, in Waterford.  It would look stellar if we had a line of “Uniformed Warriors” past, present and future, lining RTE 1 at the entrance of the Cemetery, all rendering an “honor salute” as our local fallen warrior and the official party past by and enter the cemetery.

Suggested parking for this tribute is the Waterford Public Safety complex at 41 Avery Lane, and Waterford Town Hall Parking Lot on Rope Ferry Road which are both a short walking distance from the cemetery.

Also the Waterford VFW , at 382 Boston Post Road has notified me they will be having a small reception with food, for all who care to join them after final honors for SSGT Rivera are rendered.

Please get the word out IMMEDIATELY via any Police, Veteran, or Military channel you can think of and be on station outside the cemetery no later than 1115 hours on Saturday, June 5th.
